Some of you might know already that this happened a few weeks ago:

your description of Gareth David Lloyd & his character Ianto Jones is offensive .. Ianto is more then Captain Jack's fuck toy .. that was very disgusting thing to say .. clearly you never watched same Torchwood rest of the world saw ..

In regards to Ianto.. don't shoot the messenger.. shoot the writer's. The writers had a plethora of stories they could have written and they, being such brilliant minds.. chose to do more with the Gwen character. More fool them.

Wow...your analysis of these characters and people is just awful. Guess this is what you'd expect from a shallow list labeled 'hot dudes.'

Uhm, no, sorry to disappoint you, but I doubt you're an expert in the "ladies' taste" (or guys, or homosexual peoples or what ever). Because taste is unique for each and everyone and thank God for that, because I wouldn't want to share yours.
If you’d like to read the article these comments were responding to it is right here. I can’t imagine why anybody would take it so seriously, but I guess that’s one of the hazards of posting on the internet for the whole world to see. Also one of the hazards of more people than just my eight friends reading this thing now.
I decided after getting the initial spate of comments that I could get a whole post out of responding. Not because these jackasses deserve it, but because anytime I can milk something that isn’t a toy review enough to get a whole post out of it, I’m going to.
Let’s tackle these in order. First:
your description of Gareth David Lloyd & his character Ianto Jones is offensive .. Ianto is more then Captain Jack's fuck toy .. that was very disgusting thing to say .. clearly you never watched same Torchwood rest of the world saw ..
My description of Ianto Jones is dead-on as far as I saw it. I waited for two whole seasons for them to develop the character and it never happened. I also waited for them to develop the relationship between Ianto and Captain Jack. It was intriguing to think that a character like Jack that had been portrayed as such a man-whore might love somebody enough to stop his philandering ways. And while Jack may indeed have been true to Ianto, we never saw any real love or romantic interaction between the characters. Because apparently to Russell T. Davies and the writers of Torchwood man-on-man love is limited to fucking and the odd kiss here and there. You know when Captain Jack showed some real emotion other than lust towards Ianto? When Ianto died ignominiously. I think Torchwood treated Ianto’s character like shit and it would bother me a lot more if the show weren’t so inconsistent. One episode would be absolutely great and then the next three would be garbage. And I would put money on most people feeling like I did about Ianto and Captain Jack’s relationship. Damn – I even said that I might be being a little hard on Ianto. What more do you want from me?
Also, please let me know where I can get copies of the Torchwood that the rest of the world saw. You know – the one where Ianto grew as a character and was a vital part of the team. Or where he and Jack were shown as an actual couple. Maybe that’s on the European releases, I dunno.
In regards to Ianto.. don't shoot the messenger.. shoot the writer's. The writers had a plethora of stories they could have written and they, being such brilliant minds.. chose to do more with the Gwen character. More fool them.
I think this Anonymous is supporting my position; but maybe they’re explaining to me what I said above because I wasn’t totally clear about it in the article. Either way, we agree. And to be clear, my problem isn’t that Anonymous #1 disagrees with me, but that they failed utterly in proving their point. “You’re wrong and a jerk” isn’t an argument.
Wow...your analysis of these characters and people is just awful. Guess this is what you'd expect from a shallow list labeled 'hot dudes.'
Sure, maybe it’s awful – but hopefully at least in a comedic way. But maybe you should tell me how my analysis is awful. Because honestly, I don’t think it is. And yes – this is exactly what you should have expected from a list called “Hot Dudes” you idiot. That should have tipped you off right from the start that it was going to be stupid. Why did you even read it? Oh, because your friend told you to come here and bitch…

Um, the only thing that disappoints me is that you’re too stupid to understand I was being sarcastic when I said I was an expert in ladies’ taste. And no, taste is not entirely unique to everyone. There is such a thing as a majority; a shared opinion. That's why people that look like this:
And this:
Are on the TV, fool.
And no, you wouldn’t want to share my taste because I am picky as fuck and it made portions of my life absolutely lonely and miserable. But it did work out in the end.
And you know what was the worst thing about all of this?
When I was in the Walk of Fame at Dragon*Con on Saturday, I passed by David-Lloyd’s booth and was one pace away from stopping and explaining the situation to see what he thought about it. I mean, who better to make the call than the man himself? Well, I am so glad I paused and scoped out his whole setup, because somebody had defaced Gareth David-Lloyd’s banner with a bunch of anti-gay stuff. So these tossers had already made me feel a little bad about trashing the guy’s character (though my intent was to trash the writers) and now I had to actually feel bad for the guy because some inbred fuckwits had been big enough assholes to do that to his sign. I decided it was not the time to not only mention I felt his character had a shitty arc but that he also didn’t do any better than 9th on my stupid list.
I’m really surprised to learn that the sort of people that would scrawl anti-gay sentiments on an individual’s private property (or anywhere) would even be at Dragon*Con.
And by “sort of people” I obviously mean self-loathing closet-case rednecks.
Oh, I’ve also got one other negative comment here in the ol’ mailbag (or whatever):

ugh ur reviews FUCKING SUCK. Eat a dick.
Firstly, no – I will not eat a dick. Second; yes. They are uniformly terrible. But do me a favor and go through each one and point out what I could do better. That would be really helpful. Maybe one day I can live up to ur high standards.
Until next time, stay creepy
